ሀብታም ሊሰጥ የደሀ ቂጥ ያብጥ

Meaning

This proverb is a sarcastic criticism of charity or assistance from the wealthy. It implies that by the time the rich decide to give, the poor have already suffered greatly, or that the 'help' is too little, too late, or comes with additional burdens, causing more pain than actual relief. It highlights the often inadequate or belated nature of assistance to the needy.
