This proverb indicates that while a person criticizes or gossips about others, a similar problem might unexpectedly befall themselves or someone close to them. It means forgetting one's own or one's close ones' problems while disdainfully pointing out others' weaknesses.

ይህ ምሳሌ የሚያመለክተው አንድ ሰው ሌሎችን ሲነቅፍ ወይም ሲያማ፣ ሳያስበው በራሱ ወይም በሌላ በቅርቡ ባለ ሰው ላይ ተመሳሳይ ችግር ሊደርስ እንደሚችል ነው። የሰውን ድክመት በመጥቀስ ሲንቁት የራሳቸውን ወይም የቅርባቸውን ችግር መዘንጋት ማለት ነው።
