የቤቴ መቃጠል ለትኌኔ በጀኝ! አለች አሉ!

Meaning

This proverb illustrates a situation where a person tries to find a small benefit or relief even amidst a major loss or disaster. In other words, it refers to presenting a misfortune that befell them as if it were their own desire or good fortune (the 'nose' is a common metaphor for beauty in Amharic).

ትርጉም

ይህ ብሂል የሚያሳየው አንድ ሰው ትልቅ ጉዳት ወይም ጥፋት ቢደርስበትም፣ ከጉዳቱ ውስጥ እንኳን ትንሽ ጥቅም ወይም እፎይታ ማግኘቱን ለማሳየት ሲሞክር ነው። በሌላ አባባል፣ የደረሰበትን መጥፎ ነገር የራሱ ፍላጎት ወይም መልካም ዕድል እንደሆነ አድርጎ ማቅረብን ያመለክታል።
