This proverb implies the futility of explanation or teaching in certain situations. ይህ ብሂል አንድን ነገር ለማስተማር ወይም ለማስረዳት ሲሞከር ሊያጋጥም የሚችለውን ከንቱነት ይገልጻል። ሞኝ ሰው ቢነገረውም ሊረዳው ስለማይችል ማውራት ትርጉም የለውም፤ ብልህ ሰው ደግሞ በራሱ ስለሚረዳው ወይም በቀላሉ ስለሚቀበለው እሱንም ማስተማር አያስፈልግም ማለት ነው።
