Meaning

This proverb means that a person, lacking their own support or protection, fulfills their responsibilities or does something necessary while in a difficult situation in a foreign land. In other words, it refers to upholding family honor and needs even when abroad.

ይህ ብሂል የሚያሳየው አንድ ሰው የራሱ ድጋፍ ወይም ጥበቃ በሌለበት፣ በአስቸጋሪ ሁኔታ ውስጥ ሆኖ የራሱን ሀላፊነት ሲወጣ ወይም አስፈላጊ ነገር ሲያደርግ ነው። በሌላ አባባል፣ ባዕድ ምድር ላይ ሆኖ እንኳን የቤተሰቡን ክብርና ፍላጎት ማስጠበቅ ማለት ነው።
