ነገር ከዋስ ምላስ ከጥርስ አያልፍም

Meaning

This proverb describes the importance and limits of a guarantor and a promise. It states that a matter or talk, once guaranteed, does not extend beyond the guarantor's scope or responsibility. Just as the tongue cannot pass beyond the teeth, the guarantor plays a key role in containing and resolving the issue. Furthermore, it implies that responsibility falls upon the person who has made a promise or acted as a guarantor.

ይህ ብሂል የዋስ እና የቃል ኪዳንን አስፈላጊነትና ወሰን ይገልጻል። አንድ ጉዳይ ወይም ንግግር በዋስ ከተያዘ፣ ከዋሱ ክልል ወይም ኃላፊነት እንደማያልፍ ይገልጻል። ልክ እንደ ምላስ ከጥርሶች ማለፍ እንደማይችል፣ ዋሱም ጉዳዩን ለመያዝ እና ለመፍታት ቁልፍ ሚና እንዳለው ያሳያል። በተጨማሪም፣ ቃል በገባ ወይም ዋስ በሆነ ሰው ላይ ሃላፊነት እንደሚወድቅ ያመለክታል።
