ዶሮ ከጋጥ አህያ ከቆጥ

Meaning

This proverb describes things being out of place or mismatched. A chicken belongs in a coop, not a stable (where larger animals like cattle are kept). A donkey belongs on the ground, not in an attic. It signifies disorder, incongruity, or putting things/people in inappropriate positions.

ትርጉም

ይህ ብሂል ነገሮች ከቦታቸው ውጪ መሆናቸውን ወይም እርስ በእርስ አለመጣጣማቸውን ይገልጻል። ዶሮ በጎተራ ውስጥ እንጂ በጋጥ ውስጥ አይሆንም። አህያም መሬት ላይ እንጂ በቆጥ ውስጥ አትሆንም። ይህ ማለት የሥርዓት መዛባት፣ አለመጣጣም ወይም ነገሮችን/ሰዎችን ተገቢ ባልሆነ ቦታ ማስቀመጥ ማለት ነው።
