This proverb suggests that people often fail to recognize or acknowledge their own faults, flaws, or shameful behaviors. They may readily perceive disgrace in others but remain blind to their own, treating their own shortcomings as if they belong to someone else.

ይህ ብሂል ሰዎች የራሳቸውን ስህተት፣ ነውር ወይም አሳፋሪ ባህሪያት በቀላሉ ማየት እንደማይችሉ ወይም እንደማይቀበሉ ያመለክታል። የሌሎችን ስህተት ሲያዩ የራሳቸውን ግን እንደ እንግዳ አድርገው ይቆጥራሉ።
