Meaning

This proverb describes the consequences of gluttony or excessive greed. Someone who tries to consume too much (food or anything else) often faces negative outcomes like choking or falling, symbolizing the troubles that come from overindulgence or being overly ambitious and greedy.

ትርጉም

ይህ ምሳሌ የሚያሳየው ስግብግብ ወይም በጣም ብዙ ለመብላት የሚሞክር ሰው ብዙውን ጊዜ በድርጊቱ ምክንያት ችግር ውስጥ እንደሚገባ ነው. 'ያንቀው' ማለት መታነቅ፣ 'ይወድቀው' ማለት መውደቅ ሲሆን፣ ሁለቱም ከመጠን ያለፈ ስግብግብነት የሚያስከትሉትን አሉታዊ ውጤቶች ያመለክታሉ.
