ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው ከትንሽ ነገር ተነስቶ ወደ ታላቅ ቦታ የደረሰበትን ወይም ከድህነት ወደ ሃብትና ስልጣን ያደገበትን ሁኔታ ያሳያል። 'ድንኳን ገልጦ' ማለት ትሁት በሆነ ወይም መጠነኛ በሆነ ሁኔታ መጀመርን ሲያመለክት፣ 'ዙፋን ረግጦ' ማለት ደግሞ ታላቅ ስልጣንና ክብር ላይ መድረስን ያሳያል። በአጠቃላይ አንድ ሰው ከዝቅተኛ ደረጃ ተነስቶ ታላቅነትን ማግኘቱን ይገልጻል።
