ለሰማይ ምሰሶ የለው ለባእድ ስር የለው

Meaning

This proverb illustrates two related truths. 'The sky has no pillar' means that the sky stands without any support and is limitless. 'A stranger has no root' indicates that a stranger has no lasting foundation or support in the place they go to. Since the stranger is not connected to any social base or family, their protection is minimal. In general, it states that a stranger has neither protection nor deep connections in a new place.

ይህ ምሳሌ የሁለት ተጓዳኝ እውነቶችን ያሳያል። 'ለሰማይ ምሰሶ የለው' ማለት ሰማይ ያለ ምንም ድጋፍ እንደቆመ እና ያልተገደበ እንደሆነ ያመለክታል። 'ለባእድ ስር የለው' ደግሞ እንግዳ ሰው በሄደበት ቦታ ዘላቂ መሠረት ወይም ድጋፍ እንደሌለው ያሳያል። እንግዳው ከየትኛውም ማህበራዊ መሰረት ወይም ቤተሰብ ጋር የተገናኘ ስላልሆነ ጥበቃው አናሳ ነው። በአጠቃላይ፣ ባዕድ ሰው በአዲሱ ቦታ ጥበቃም ሆነ ጥልቅ ትስስር እንደሌለው ይገልጻል።
