ሰካራም ዋስ አያጣም

Meaning

This proverb illustrates that no matter how much trouble a drunkard gets into or how much liability they incur, other people can support them, whether through pleading or other means. Often, the weaknesses of drunkards are known, but it implies that others will become guarantors for them out of pity or kindness. This shows that some people, no matter what problems they cause, do not lack supporters.

ይህ ምሳሌ ሰካራም ሰው ምንም ያህል ችግር ውስጥ ቢገባም ወይም ተጠያቂነት ቢኖርበትም፣ ሌሎች ሰዎች በልመናም ይሁን በሌላ መንገድ ሊደግፉት እንደሚችሉ ያሳያል። ብዙውን ጊዜ የሰካራሞች ድክመት ይታወቃል፣ ነገር ግን ሌሎች በእነሱ ላይ ማዘናቸውን ወይም መልካም መሆናቸውን በማሰብ ዋስ እንደሚሆኑ ያመለክታል። ይህ ማለት አንዳንድ ሰዎች ምንም ዓይነት ችግር ቢፈጽሙም እንኳ ደጋፊዎችን እንደማያጡ ያሳያል።
