ለምን ያለው ስልቻውን ጫን ያለው ኮርቻውን አያጣም

Meaning

This proverb suggests that a person who asks 'why' and seeks understanding about a task will perform it competently and responsibly, thus not losing their possessions (sack). Similarly, one who takes initiative and responsibility ('load it') will diligently complete the work and therefore not lose their property (saddle). It emphasizes accountability, diligence, and practicality in securing one's belongings or livelihood.

ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው ስለሚሰራው ነገር ጥያቄ የሚጠይቅና ምክንያትን የሚፈልግ ከሆነ፣ ያንን ነገር በብቃት ስለሚሰራው ወይም ተጠያቂ ስለሆነ ንብረቱን (ስልቻውን) አያጣም። በተመሳሳይ መልኩ ሃላፊነትን የሚወስድ ሰው (ጫን ያለው) ስራውን በብቃት ስለሚያከናውን ንብረቱን (ኮርቻውን) አያጣም። ተጠያቂነትና ብልህነትን ያጎላል።
