ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ነገር ዋና ባሕሪውን ወይም ብቃቱን ሲያጣ ምን ያህል ከንቱ እንደሚሆን ያሳያል። መርፌ ቢደነዝዝም እንኳን ለስላሳ ቅቤን መውጋት ወይም ቀድቶ ማለፍ አይችልም። ይህ ማለት አንድ መሳሪያ ወይም ሰው ዋናውን ተግባሩን ማከናወን ካልቻለ፣ በጣም ቀላል የሚመስለውን ሥራ እንኳ ማከናወን አይችልም ማለት ነው። የአንድን ነገር ወሳኝ ብቃት ማጣት ያሳያል።
