ሀሜትና ጅራት በስተኋላ ነው

Meaning

This proverb means that gossip and rumors are always spoken behind one's back. Just as a tail is perpetually at the rear, gossip is something said about you when you are not present. It highlights the secretive, often cowardly, and indirect nature of gossip.
