ጥልቅ ብዬን ውሀ ወሰዳት

Meaning

This proverb illustrates underestimating a situation or danger, or negligently taking action without full awareness. It describes a person who, despite knowing the water is deep and thinking 'it's deep,' still gets caught in an accident. It signifies falling into trouble or not considering danger despite being aware of the problem.

ይህ ምሳሌ የሚያሳየው አንድን ሁኔታ ወይም አደጋ አቅልሎ ማየት ወይም ሳያውቁት በቸልተኝነት መወሰድን። አንድ ሰው ውሃ ጥልቅ መሆኑን እያወቀ 'ጥልቅ ነው' ብሎ እያሰበ ሳለ አደጋ ሲደርስበት። ስለ ችግሩ እያወቁ በግዴለሽነት መውደቅን ወይም አደጋን አለማሰብን ያመለክታል።
