ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው ለሆነ ነገር ተጠያቂ በመሆን ወይም በስህተት ተከሶ (በልቷል ተብሎ) ትክክለኛ ችግሩ (ረሃቡ) እንዳይታይበት ሲጠይቅ ያገለግላል። 'ባለፈው ድርጊት ወይም የተሳሳተ ግንዛቤ ምክንያት አሁን ያለውን ፍላጎቴን ችላ አትበል' ማለት ነው። አንድ ሰው በሐሰተኛ ክስ ምክንያት እውነተኛ ችግሮቹ እንዳይታዩበት ወይም እንዳይታወቁበት ሲጠይቅ ይጠቀማል።
