ጅብ ምን ይመስላል እግሩ ያነክሳል አፉ ይነክሳል

Meaning

This proverb is used to describe someone or something that acts according to their known nature or reputation, especially when that nature is negative. It implies that one should not be surprised by predictable negative behavior from a person or entity known to be problematic. Just as a hyena is known to limp and bite, its actions are consistent with its inherent characteristics. ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው ወይም ነገር በባህሪው ወይም በግብሩ እንደሚታወቅና በዚያው ልክ እንደሚጠበቅ ለማስረዳት ይጠቅማል። በተለይ ደግሞ የአንድ ሰው አሉታዊ ባህሪ ወይም ተግባር ሲከሰት፣ 'ምን ይጠበቃል?' ለማለት ያገለግላል። ጅብ በእግሩ ያነክሳል በአፉም ይነክሳልና፣ ከሱ የሚጠበቀው ይህ ነው ማለት ነው።
