ይህ ምሳሌ የሐሰት ማስጠንቀቂያ (ዝናብ የሌለበት ነጎዳ) ወይም ያለ በቂ ምክንያት የሚመጣ ኢፍትሐዊ ሸክም/ውጤት (ብድር የሌለበት ዕዳ) ነው። ነገሮች አሳሳች፣ መሠረተ ቢስ ወይም ፍትሐዊ ያልሆኑ ሲሆኑ ያገለግላል። ባዶ ማስፈራሪያዎችን፣ ከምክንያቱ ጋር የማይመጣጠኑ ውጤቶችን፣ ወይም ላላደረጉት ነገር ተጠያቂ መሆንን ለመግለጽ ሊያገለግል ይችላል።
