የሌባ ምኝታው ካመድ መታሰሪያው ገመድ

Meaning

This proverb describes the miserable and inevitable fate of a thief. It suggests that a life of thievery ultimately leads to a harsh, uncomfortable existence (sleeping on ashes) and eventual capture and punishment (being bound by a rope). It signifies that crime does not pay and leads to a regrettable and undignified end.
