This proverb highlights the negative consequences of haste. Just as meat is forbidden during Lent, hasty actions are unlikely to lead to good outcomes and may instead result in forbidden or regrettable consequences.

ይህ ምሳሌ የችኮላን አሉታዊ ውጤት ያመለክታል። በፆም ወቅት ስጋ እንደማይበላ ሁሉ፣ በችኮላ የተሰራ ስራም ወደ መልካም ነገር እንደማያመራ ወይም የተከለከለ ውጤት እንደሚያስከትል ያሳያል።
