Meaning

This proverb describes an ill-mannered or unruly person who, upon gaining a position of influence or becoming a favorite, immediately abuses their new power. "Let me turn over the clothes and see" implies an intrusive, exploitative, or inquisitive nature, suggesting they will use their position to pry into others' affairs, find faults, or seek personal gain, reverting to their inherent negative character despite their elevated status.
