Meaning

This proverb signifies the act of slandering, demeaning, or giving a bad name to someone or something that one intends to harm, exploit, or take advantage of. ይህ ብሂል ለመበዝበዝ ወይም ለመጉዳት ያሰቡትን ነገር ወይም ሰው ለማንቋሸሽ ወይም መጥፎ ስም ለመስጠት ሲሞክሩ የሚነገር ነው። አሞራን (ለተበላ የማይፈለግ ወፍ) ጂግራ (የሚበላ ወፍ) ብለው በመጥራት፣ የራሳቸውን መጥፎ ድርጊት ለማጽደቅ ወይም ለማስረዳት መሞከርን ያመለክታል።
