ዶሮ ካልበሏት አሞራ ናት

Meaning

This proverb suggests that the value or usefulness of a thing or person is determined by how it is utilized. If a chicken is not used for food, it might as well be a vulture (which is not typically eaten). In other words, something has no value if it is not put to use.
