የመጥረቢያ ልጅ መዝለፊያ

Meaning

This proverb means that an offspring or a derivative will inherently share the nature, function, or characteristics of its origin. Just as a wedge, often used with an axe, is an extension of the axe's purpose in splitting wood, a 'child' (metaphorically) will resemble its 'parent' in some fundamental way.

ይህ ብሂል አንድ ነገር ወይም ሰው ከምንጩ የመጣውን ባህሪ ወይም ጥቅም እንደሚይዝ ያሳያል። የመጥረቢያ ልጅ የሆነው መዝለፊያ (እንጨት መሰንጠቂያ) ልክ እንደ መጥረቢያው እንጨት ለመሰንጠቅ እንደሚያገለግል ያመለክታል።
