ተረቴን መልስ አፌን በዳቦ አብስ

Meaning

This proverb is used when someone has heard a secret or a story and is asked not to reveal it. The speaker jokingly (or seriously) asks for a 'payment' or a bribe (represented by 'wiping the mouth with bread') to keep the secret or to return the story without spreading it. It implies that information, especially sensitive one, has a price to be kept quiet.
