ይህ ምሳሌ አንድ ሰው ጥፋት ሲሰራ ወይም ችግር ውስጥ ሲገባ ከተያዘ በኋላ ይቅርታ ከመለመን ወይም ሁኔታውን ለማለዘብ ከመሞከር ይልቅ ከመጀመሪያውም ጥፋት አለመስራት ወይም አርፎ መቀመጥ (ከችግር መራቅ) እንደሚሻል የሚገልጽ ነው። ጥንቃቄን እና ከመጀመሪያው ችግርን ማስወገድን ያበረታታል።
