Meaning

This proverb indicates that if the justice system is unfair or a judge favors one party, the judicial process might be easy and quick, but it won't deliver true justice. "The load is light" might mean the case was easily resolved, but this resolution is based on the judge's bias, not on justice. This proverb condemns the perversion of the justice system and the dire consequences of judicial bias.
