ትልና መጋዝ በሽተኛና ጓዝ

✦

“A worm and a saw, a sick person and luggage.”

Meaning

This proverb uses a parallel structure to describe things that are inherently linked or go together, often in a problematic way. A worm destroys wood like a saw cuts it. A sick person is often burdened by their illness, just as travelers are with luggage. It suggests inescapable burdens or natural pairings, often with a sense of difficulty.
