ሀብታም ለሰጠ ደሀ ምንጭሩ አበጠ

Meaning

Even a gift from the rich might come with strings attached, be difficult to handle, or cause more trouble than it's worth for a poor person. It can also imply that the rich might give something that seems helpful but is actually burdensome or insufficient, or that even small help from the rich is a huge effort for the poor to process/receive.
