እዳ አለብኝ ብለህ አትቸገር እዳ የለብኝም ብለህ አትከበር አይታወቅም የአምላክ ነገር

Meaning

This proverb advises against extremes of despair or pride regarding one's worldly circumstances. One should not despair when in debt or troubled, nor should one become arrogant when free from debt or in a good position, because human fate is unpredictable and ultimately in God's hands. ትርጉም

ይህ ምሳሌ የሚያመለክተው የሰው ልጅ እጣ ፈንታ ያልታወቀና በማንኛውም ጊዜ ሊለወጥ እንደሚችል ነው። ስለዚህ ሰው በዕዳ ወይም በችግር ጊዜ ተስፋ ሊቆርጥ አይገባም፣ እንዲሁም በሀብትና በክብር ጊዜም ሊኩራራ አይገባም፣ ምክንያቱም ነገሮች ሁሉ በአምላክ እጅ ናቸውና። ትህትናንና በአምላክ ላይ መታመንን ያሳያል።
