እንኳንስ ዘንቦብሽ እንዲያውም ጤዛ ነሽ

Meaning

This proverb is used to tell someone that a new problem or setback does not significantly worsen their condition because they were already in a poor or insignificant state. It suggests that the new difficulty is minor compared to their existing circumstances. It can also be used to dismiss someone's complaint about a minor hardship, implying their life is generally difficult anyway.

ይህ ብሂል አንድ ሰው ከዚህ ቀደም የነበረበት ሁኔታ ብዙም የተለየ ያልሆነ ወይም መጥፎ ስለነበር አዲስ ችግር ቢገጥመውም ሁኔታው ብዙም አይከፋም ለማለት ያገለግላል። 'ዝናቡ' (አዲሱ ችግር) አስቀድሞ 'ጤዛ' (በቂ ያልሆነ/መጥፎ) ከነበረው ሁኔታ አንጻር ሲታይ እዚህ ግባ የሚባል አለመሆኑን ያሳያል።
