ሰነፍ ገበሬ በሰኔ ይሞታል

Meaning

'Sene' (June) is a critical planting month in Ethiopia. This proverb means that a lazy farmer who neglects their duties during the crucial planting season will later suffer the consequences, such as famine or lack of harvest, which is metaphorically described as 'dying.' It emphasizes the importance of diligence, timely effort, and foresight in one's work.
