እድሜና መስታወት አይጠገብም

Meaning

This proverb illustrates that people are never truly satisfied or content with their age (either wishing for youth or longing for more life) and their appearance when looking in a mirror (either striving for beauty or scrutinizing themselves). It speaks to human vanity, the desire for youth or longevity, and the endless contemplation of one's self and appearance.

ይህ ምሳሌ ሰዎች እድሜያቸውን በተመለከተ (ወጣትነትን በመመኘት ወይም ህይወትን በመናፈቅ)፣ እንዲሁም መልካቸውን በመስታወት ሲመለከቱ (ውበትን በመሻት ወይም በመቆጣጠር) ፈጽሞ እንደማይረኩ ወይም እንደማይጠግቡ ያሳያል። የሰውን ልጅ ለራሱ ያለው ስሜት፣ ለውበቱና ለህይወቱ ያለው ስስት ያመለክታል።
