ተከብት እንስት ተሀብት ርስት

Meaning

This proverb draws a parallel between a woman and livestock, and between an inheritance and wealth. ይህ ምሳሌ ሴትን ከብት ጋር፣ ርስት ደግሞ ከሀብት ጋር በማነፃፀር ትርጉም ይሰጣል። ሴት ልክ እንደ ከብት ለቤተሰብ ጉልበት፣ ዘር እና ብልጽግና የምታበረክት ዋጋ ያላት ንብረት መሆኗን ያሳያል። ርስትም (በተለይ መሬት) የቤተሰብ መሰረታዊ እና ዘላቂ ሀብት መሆኑን ያመለክታል።
