ይህ ምሳሌ እውነተኛ ፍቅር እና በረከት የሚመጣው ከመከራ፣ ከመስዋዕትነት ወይም ከትግል በኋላ መሆኑን ያመለክታል። በቀላሉ የሚገኝ ፍቅር ወይም ምግብ ብዙም ዋጋ የለውም ወይም አይጣፍጥም። የአንድ ነገር እሴት የሚታወቀው ለእሱ የሚደረገው ጥረት ወይም የሚከፈለው ዋጋ ከፍ ሲል መሆኑን ይገልጻል።
