Meaning

This proverb suggests that true love and blessings come after suffering, sacrifice, or struggle. Love or food that is easily obtained is not highly valued or satisfying. It states that the value of something is recognized when the effort made for it or the price paid for it is high.

ይህ ምሳሌ እውነተኛ ፍቅር እና በረከት የሚመጣው ከመከራ፣ ከመስዋዕትነት ወይም ከትግል በኋላ መሆኑን ያመለክታል። በቀላሉ የሚገኝ ፍቅር ወይም ምግብ ብዙም ዋጋ የለውም ወይም አይጣፍጥም። የአንድ ነገር እሴት የሚታወቀው ለእሱ የሚደረገው ጥረት ወይም የሚከፈለው ዋጋ ከፍ ሲል መሆኑን ይገልጻል።
