ዛር ልመና ሳይያዙ ገና ከተያዙ ብዙ ነው መዘዙ

Meaning

Using the metaphor of 'Zar' (spirit possession, which often leads to complex rituals and demands), this proverb means that it is far easier to prevent a problem or avoid getting into a difficult situation than it is to deal with the extensive and costly consequences once you are already entangled in it. It warns against letting problems escalate.
