የጨው ገደል ሲናድ ሞኝ ይስቃል ብልህ ያለቅሳል

Meaning

This proverb illustrates the difference in perception between a fool and a wise person when a valuable resource is destroyed. A fool, not understanding the significance or long-term consequences, might find amusement. A wise person, however, recognizes the profound loss of a vital resource (salt being historically very valuable) and its far-reaching implications, and thus mourns.
