እናትየዋን ሲከጅሉ ልጅቷን ይስማሉ

Meaning

This proverb indicates that when a person fails to directly obtain what they primarily desire, they attempt to achieve their goal by starting with something related or tangential to the main issue. It shows that if someone desires the mother but cannot directly approach her, they might try to initiate a relationship or get closer by kissing the daughter. It describes attempting to achieve a goal indirectly.

ይህ ብሂል የሚያመለክተው አንድ ሰው ዋናውን የፈለገውን ነገር በቀጥታ ማግኘት ሲሳነው፣ በዚያው ጉዳይ ዙሪያ ወይም ተያያዥ በሆነ ነገር በመጀመር ዓላማውን ለማሳካት እንደሚሞክር ነው። አንድ ሰው እናትየዋን ቢፈልግም በቀጥታ ስላልቻለ፣ ልጇን በመሳም ግንኙነቱን ለመጀመር ወይም ለመቅረብ እንደሚሞክር ያሳያል። ቀጥተኛ ባልሆነ መንገድ ግብን ለማሳካት መሞከርን ይገልጻል።
