ይህ አባባል አንድ ነገር በተደጋጋሚና በየጊዜው ሲከሰት ወይም አንድ ሰው የተለመደ ተግባሩን ሲፈጽም፣ ሌላኛው ወገን ይህንን የተለመደ ነገር አዲስ ነገር አስመስሎ ሲናገር ወይም ሲያማርር የሚሰጥ ምላሽ ነው። 'የለመደች ዶሮ መከሽከሽ፣ የለመደች እናት ደግሞ ሐሙስ ሐሙስ መምጣት የለመደች ነችና ምን አዲስ ነገር አለ?' እንደማለት ነው። አንድ ነገር አዲስ መስሎ ቢቀርብም የተለመደና የሚጠበቅ መሆኑን ያመለክታል።
