ያልጫ ድንፋታ እንጀራ እስኪቀርብ

Meaning

This proverb means that empty boasts, bravado, or big talk are only valid or persist until reality or a genuine challenge presents itself. It suggests that when faced with a real test or the actual situation (represented by "injera being served"), superficial boasting quickly fades and is exposed for its lack of substance.
