ሚስጥርህን ለባእድ ለምን አዋየኸው ወንፊት ወሀ ይዞ የት ሲደርስ አየኸው

Meaning

This proverb warns against revealing secrets to untrustworthy people or strangers. It likens a stranger (or an untrustworthy person) to a sieve, which cannot hold water. Just as a sieve cannot retain water, an untrustworthy person cannot keep a secret; it will inevitably leak out.

ይህ ምሳሌ ምስጢርን ለማይታመን ወይም ለማያውቅ ሰው ከመግለጽ ያስጠነቅቃል። የማያውቅ ሰው (ወይም የማያምን ሰው) ውሀን እንደማይይዝ ወንፊት ነው፤ ምስጢርን መያዝ እንደማይችልና እንደሚገልጥ ያመለክታል።
