ቆዳ ማንጓጓቱን ስሱ መጓጓቱን አይተውም

Meaning

This proverb suggests that basic human needs or natural inclinations (like caring for one's own skin/body, i.e., self-interest) and the insatiable desires of a greedy person are difficult for outsiders to understand or acknowledge. It implies that people often fail to recognize or empathize with the deep-seated natural desires or the intense greed of others.
