በእጅ ያለ ወርቅ ከመዳብ ይቆጠራል

Meaning

This proverb signifies that people often undervalue or take for granted what they already possess. It implies that something precious, if readily available or in one's possession, might not be fully appreciated and could be treated as less valuable, much like treating gold as common copper. It encourages appreciating and recognizing the worth of what one has.
