Meaning

This proverb draws a parallel between two situations. August water, though clean and refreshing, is often ignored because it's the rainy season and people aren't thirsty. Similarly, a poor person's advice or concerns, no matter how valid or beneficial, often go unheard and unheeded by society. It highlights the plight of the poor whose wisdom is overlooked due to their status.
